Doll Clothes - Scarf, Gloves, and Socks
In early December, when it started to get a little bit colder, my niece decided that her doll needed a new scarf, gloves and a warm pair of socks...
The set is in my niece's favourite colour, pink, and fits the AMELKA interactive baby doll, which is 40 cm high.
For this project I used 3 mm double-pointed needles and 4-ply acrylic yarn.
Scarf:
Cast-on 24 stitches and knit single ribbing until the scarf reaches 55 cm. Bind-off and wave in all threads.
Gloves:
Cast-on 30 stitches, and divide them between three needles. Knit in the round.
Rows 1-7: knit single ribbing.
Row 8: knit.
Row 9: knit 15 stitches, increase one stitch, knit 15 stitches, increase one stitch.
Row 10: knit (32 stitches).
Row 11: knit 16 stitches, increase one stitch, knit 16 stitches, increase one stitch.
Row 12: knit (34 stitches).
Row 13: knit 17 stitches, increase one stitch, knit 17 stitches, increase one stitch.
Rows 14-19: knit (36 stitches).
Divide the stitches between two needles.
Rows 20-28: decrease, symmetrically, two stitches every row (18 stitches, 9 stitches on each needle).
Pull the thread through the remaining 18 stitches and tighten it firmly. Wave in all threads.
Make the second glove in the same way, and then join them with a string made of 3 stitches with a length of 45 cm.
Socks:
The socks were made according to a pattern by Laura Sapergia (version "Stockinette", I added single ribbing) available free of charge on Ravelry.
Enjoy!
