Lilies of the Valley for Mother's Day
In Poland we celebrate Mother's Day on the 26th of May. Last year, for Mother's Day, I made a card for my Mum with a pansy on it, as this is her favourite flower. This year I made a card with lilies of the valley - flowers also very much loved by my Mum.
This card is quilled. To make it I used:
1. One piece of folded white card which had a slightly metallic effect, with dimensions 13.5 x 13.5 cm (after folding) from the Pollen series by Clairefontaine, and a matching envelope with dimensions 16.5 x 16.5 cm.
2. 3 mm paper strips in white, yellow, and different shades of green.
3. A few floral green stub wires, 0.7 mm thick.
4. Some green florist tape.
5. Long nose pliers for modeling and cutting the wire.
6. A pair of scissors.
7. Glue.
8. Some white twine or yarn.
9. A few white double-sided sticky pads with dimensions 3 mm x 3 mm and 2 mm thickness to stick the sign to the card.
