Halloween Cat Pumpkin Carving
It has been a busy few months with all the moving, the birth of our son and attending to the newborn, but as it's time for Halloween trick or treating - with some amazing help from my hubby who bravely babysat not only our son, but also our two cats - I managed to carve a pumpkin.
There are truly some talented pumpkin carvers out there, and I'm sure you have already seen a few amazing cat pumpkin carvings, but let me show you mine.

What you will need is (obviously) a pumpkin, some carving tools (I used a small, sharp knife and a very small flat screwdriver), and some time.
Start with cutting out the lid, make a little tooth so that the lid stays in place (see the picture below). Then scoop out all the pulp, transfer or draw your design onto the pumpkin, and then carve the features. When you're done light a small candle and place it inside the pumpkin.
If you like pumpkin seeds don't throw them away, roast them with a bit of oil and salt and enjoy both your carved pumpkin and some yummy pumpkin seeds.
